Dr. Amira Bekhit, DPM. MD.

Amira Bekhit, DPM. MD. graduated from the College of Medicine Ain Shams University, one of the top medical schools in Egypt. Dr. Bekhit worked as a missionary physician and radiologist in Africa for more than 3 years. Then Dr. Bekhit moved to the United States in 2013 where she started her new journey, and after successful completion of the US Medical Licensing Examination, earned her doctorate degree in podiatric medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Magna Cum Laude,

Dr. Bekhit served as Chief Resident at NYU Langone Hospital, Long Island where she completed a three years of post-doctoral extensive podiatric residency training, which includes training in wound care, traumas of foot and ankle, sports medicine and diabetic foot salvage. Dr. Bekhit is especially passionate about limb salvage. Dr. Bekhit is pursuing ongoing education, to maintain the highest levels of accreditation to stay abreast of the latest and most efficient conservative and surgical treatment options for the different foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Bekhit is qualified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Bekhit believes that comprehensive foot care starts with incorporating her extensive medical experience along with proper patient education to ensure they have the needed information to make educated decisions and together they will tailor an individualized care plan, that will help to approach their goals and match their lifestyle through practicing evidence-based medicine.

Traveling has been one of the highlights of her life and is an overwhelming experience and a great eye-opener. In her free time, she likes baking and spending quality time with her husband, and her two daughters.
